Building our Chicken Coop

We have decided to raise Chickens!
Why Not? What could be better than fresh eggs, from free-range chickens eating bugs and good food & treats we provide. Unlike the eggs in the store's chickens that were feed antibiotics, force feed in small area never to move. And what does those "Cage-Free" eggs really mean? They don't state free-range now do they.
Why raise Chickens?
Backyard eggs contain:
- 1/3 the Cholesterol of store bought eggs
- 2/3 more vitamin A
- 1/4 less saturated fat
- 2 times the amount of Omega 3 fatty acids
- 3 times the amount of Vitamin E
- 7 times more Beta Carotene
- Chickens will gobble up those pesky garden bugs
- They'll even go after crickets and grass hoppers
- Chickens would love to help pull up all your Weeds!
- Chickens will devour the fallen fruit from your messing fruit trees
Video of baby chicks right after we got them; only 6-weeks old

I have a Q, where did you buy the extention to the run area? I have the same chicken coop and I liked your project so much, now I will make some modifications since I plan to get more chickens. Thanks in advance!!!
I made the extension, watch the video for more details
I just bought this same coop and plan to make an addition like yours. Did you use all cedar wood with exception of the salt treated 2 x 4 along bottom? Also, what type stain did you treat all the wood with as I like the color.
